Maytree Scholarship for Protected Persons - Application deadline: March 27/2009

Scholarship for Protected Persons

The Maytree Foundation has 2 scholarship programs for protected persons or permanent residents who were protected persons living without parents in Toronto. These programs provide financial support to students entering their first or second year of post-secondary education. The deadline for applications is March 27, 2009.

Clarification about the Maytree Scholarship program:

For the 2009 - 2010 academic year, Maytree will offer two separate programs: Maytree Scholarship Program and Maytree Awards Program.

* The Maytree Scholarship Program is an intensive, participatory program which provides peer and financial support to protected persons or landed immigrants who were protected persons living without parents in Toronto. Throughout the school year, students will attend monthly meetings and engage in voluntary work.

* The Maytree Awards Program. This program provides financial support to a maximum of ten protected persons or landed immigrants who were protected person living with or without parents in Toronto.

Deadline for applications: Friday, March 27, 2009 by 5:00 p.m.
